Advanced levels of obedience are possible for any dog – regardless of breed and size!

The American Kennel Club has developed a dog training program to establish a firm foundation for obedience and other AKC activities. This program is an easy way to teach your dog the basic obedience commands. It will also evaluate your dog’s sociability with other dogs and people. Many of the canines who participate will be capable of passing a CGC evaluation and receiving a certificate from the American Kennel Club as a CGC graduate. Training Director, Manuel Villanueva, is one of the most sought-after dog trainers in the United States and beyond. Manuel’s career started when he was just 18 years old (over 50 years of experience) and he specialized in training working breeds such as Dobermans, Rottweilers, and Shepherds. Manuel was one of the few trainers to study under Mr. Fon Johnson, a pioneer in the dog training world, who specialized in the training of police dogs. In fact, Mr. Fon Johnson developed many of the K-9 training programs and canine psychology models that are now used throughout the country and founded the first full-service pet boarding facility in San Diego in 1950.

Our basic obedience, private lessons are offered in packages of one hour lessons at our facility. These lessons are geared towards on and off leash obedience: sit, stay, down, come and heel and then we introduce people and other dogs as distractions. We will advance as much as you and your pup lets us! The more you practice, the sooner your dog advances! These lessons also cover: leash manners, pulling on the leash, excitement around other dogs/people, jumping, barking, potty training and more! Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the earliest lesson starting at 8am and the last lesson starting at 5pm.

$25 rescheduling fee for no shows or cancellations / rescheduling less than one week in advance.

$100 Non-refundable deposit required at the time of booking. Deposit will be placed towards the package upon completion of the first session.

You are not limited to the four lessons, most clients opt to do 2-4 packages just depending on what your training goals with your pup are!

Our behavior problem solving lessons are offered in packages of one hour lessons at our facility with our senior dog trainer, Fon Villanueva. These lessons will be tailored to your specific dog and can cover: dog/people aggression, reactivity, resource guarding, fearful dogs, and more. You may also schedule with Fon by request for obedience and behavioral. Availability: Monday-Friday with the earliest lesson starting at 10am and the last lesson starting at 6pm.
